A frozen treat from Sweden

Although lingonberries traditionally are served with poultry, swedish meatballs and game, lingonberries are also enjoyable as a sweet and cool dessert.

Try this recipe to end your lunch with an exclusive Swedish touch.

Frozen Lingonberry dessert
(4 servings)

2 egg yolks
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1 cup (1/2 pint) whipping cream
1 cup Felix Lingonberries
1 to 2 tablespoons gin (optional)

In medium bowl beat yolks and sugar until smooth. In separate bowl whip cream until soft peaks form; fold into yolk mixture along with 1 cup of lingonberries and gin, if using. Pour mixture into decorative mold and freeze at least 4 hours.
About 30 minutes before serving, allow to soften in refrigerator.
Turn out of mold, or spoon into serving dishes.
